Help Abandoned Pets This Winter!

Winter is coming, and that means animals will suffer the cold again if we don’t pitch in to help!

Pet shelters and rescue groups receive little funding and rely on donations from the community to survive, and during the winter they are sure to be inundated with animals of all kinds-their resources stretched thin.

One such animal welfare agency is the Connecticut Humane Society (http://www.https://cthumane.org)- Truly unsung heroes for the incredible work they do for all the stray and abandoned pets in our community.

Everyone, even those who are cash strapped, have the means to contribute! Just think, if everyone in the community donated just $1 (yes, ONE little dollar) that’s a whole lot of dollars to help keep these pets warm and fed, and bring them some comfort in a scary situation. But, donations don’t have to be cash. Tangible goods are just as valuable and immensely appreciated! In fact, you probably have vitally needed stuff tucked away in your home right now.

Things like:

🧼Old towels or linens

🐱 Cleaning supplies

🐶 pet food, leashes, bowls or beds

🦜Office supplies

🦆 Baby shampoo or Dawn dish soap for bathing

And many other things you may not be needing anymore! Your act of kindness will make a world of difference for these lovable, sheltered pets.

So…

Clean out your closets and donate all that stuff you aren’t needing anymore.

I am going to repost this regularly, so if there is a cause that is dear to your heart, post a link to their wishlist in the comments. I hope it is seen by many!
